The genes sizes are too long to design PCR, what is the shortest way to get it?
If your dna gene sequence is too long then you could RT the rna and sequence the shorter cDNA
NGS is also an option that is becoming cheaper or generate pcr primers outside each exon if the next stage is sequencing the gene
How long is "too long"?
You can order DNA polymerases that are specifically for amplifying long products. >10kb is totally reasonable, as long as there aren't too many secondary structure complications.
You can use sequences for gene of interest, from "cousins" of this species. Usually the closest related species are with similar sequences for many genes. The chance is good, but you have to pray to god for a good chance. You can make several pairs and you will have better chance. Good luck !!!
