Does anyone have information (papers) on the Creosote bush and the part that mycorrhiza (the fungus between the root and the root bark) plays in nutrient, trace metals, and water uptake; if any.
We are evaluating the uptake of trace metals from heavily contaminated mine tailings in an area that receives less than 5 cm of precipitation. Please email me any papers, documents or information. Thanks,
I'm not sure how much this helps, but the linked paper has some information on the problems of measuring soil contamination and how hard it is to separate physiological uptake from external dust deposition. Not specifically on creosote bush, but a similar low rainfall environment.
