recently my HEK293 cells are dying frequently in the flasks. i am growing them up in charcoal stripped DMEM supplemented with glutamax, gentamicin, glucose and with out phenol-red. (these conditions are needed to my experiment and previously HEK293 were growing fine in these conditions)
i changed to 10%FBS DMEM with phenol red, i also changed the antibiotic to sterp/neo and still my cells not growing well.
any suggestion please?

Hey! Did you check that your incubator's okay? CO2 supply, humidity etc.? :) You also may check for possible contaminations.

Please check if the media is too old. You can say by looking at the color of the media.
