I have got this comment from reviewer, and don't know how to measure (TOC) in MB solution?
Please provide the TOC (total organic carbon) study as an evidence.
TOC is measure by total organic carbon analyser. Hach India instrument is widely used for this purpose.
To determine the accurate value of TOC from water/wastewater (even Soil) using TOC analyzer. For each TOC sampling experiments, 10-15mL of sample is required.
Also, the titration method to determine TOC is not given proper results.
Sivarasan Genesen. Please tell me about the titration method? How we determine TOC by this method. What indicator we will use and what will be the standard solution?
Take a 250 ml conical flask. Add 10 mL K2CO3 (1N), 20 mL sample, 30 mL conc. sulfuric acid (slowly with cooler). wait for 45min, add 100 mL water then add 2drops ethylene diamine indicator. then titrate against 0.5N FAS.
