How to verify that you did an orthotopic injection into mammary fat pad and not a subcutaneous one?

Hi, I am trying to prepare for an orthotopic injection with breast cancer cells (D2.A1 and D2.OR). And I have a question is there any way to visualize the difference between a subcutaneous injection and an orthotopic one while keeping mice alive?
