I have done the below steps in Comsol
1- I designed a device including three layers in Comsol
2- I applied the optical parameters such as absorption and scattering coefficients on each layer.
Now I want to evaluate the light propagation when a laser source places in front of the device.
My problem is " how can I apply the laser source in Comsol"
Does the laser source support adjusting the wavelength, peak power, and etc.?
and want to know how the light propagates
when laser source propagates to the device

In Global Definitions you could define your desired Electric Field-EF (For Gaussian CW laser beam case : via Analytic functions you could define parameters such as W=w0*sqrt(1+(z/z0)^2), R=z*(1+(z0/z)^2), atan2(z,z0)) and then EF propagation:
E= E0*w0/w(z)*exp(-(x^2+y^2)/w(z)^2)*exp(-i*(k*z-eta(z)+k*(x^2+y^2)/(2*R(z)))). )
I assume that you have already defined w0, k, z0, E0 as a parameters.
Then later on you could define input and output ports for your model, and insert your defined EF as an incident electric field.
