How to transform the environmentally isolated Bacillus subtilis?

I have tried this method

(http://2012.igem.org/Team:Cambridge/Protocols/TransformationofB.subtilis)

as well as electroporation, but I cannot get the transformant. The labs in our building do not have phase contrast microscopes, so, it is not convenient to use the protoplast method. Can you suggest how to transform the environmentally isolated Bacillus subtilis?
