I recently bought D-Valine from Sigma (V1255-1G). It indicates to dilute it at 50 mg/mL in water but it doesn't say anything about storage conditions after dilution. Has anyone already used this product and how was it stored after dilution?

I just started the dilution of the powder, however there are a lot of clumps that do not disolve in water. I have tried resuspending and shaking the falcon tube, but the clumps do not go away. Did you use a lower concentration or solvent?, how did you get rid of the clumps?

Hi Oliver, it should dissolve to a concentration of 5% in water. You might need to put it in a bath sonicator to get it to fully dissolve; just make sure it doesn't heat up. I would suggest aliquoting your solution and storing it at -20'C, and just using one freeze-thaw cycle. Good Luck
