Hi all, I have a problem with a simulation with hysys. there is a wellhead separator (2 phase separator) that the outlet gas and liquid (water+oil) of this separator is entered the separate pipes.
my problem is the pipe that outlet liquid from the separator is entered it.
I enter the required data for this pipe and use "beggs and brill" correlation, but this pipe doesn't run (the error is: not solved). But when in carry over of separator, I enter a value for "gas in light liquid", the pipe is run. Does anyone know what is the problem?
please send schematic of piping system and all the parameters entered, so that error may be identified
You usually have to start with a solved pipe segment and slowly add pipe segments one piece at a time to discover the cause of the problem

I attach this file. when in 'separator", in tab of "carry over", enter a value for "gas in light liquid", the pipe is run!
Rick Manner Thanks for your answer. I tried this method that you suggested. when for "inclined pipe flow correlation" select "Tulsa" and change the elevation of the pipe from 85 to 40 ft, it is run!
