How to segregate micro-nano sized particles from kerosene without agglomeration?

I have performed some experiments and collected some debris (micro/nano sized particles) dipped in kerosene. I want to separate the particles from kerosene for further characterization in SEM and particle size and number measurement. However, while heating the entire sample, the particles agglomerate. Is there any suitable alternate method for obtaining these particles?

Suspension centrifuge. Separate. Wash with hexane or petroleum ether. Dry on air.
