Hello, I am working on steel concrete composite columns and I have seen in many published articles that researchers have reported that Abaqus is able to separate the contributions of different component of composite columns e.g. reinforcement, structural steel and concrete etc. However, I could not find any details about how to obtain the individual contribution of these components i.e. steel and concrete. I have tried to search in the documentation and on many online forums but could not find any answers. I have tried defining separate output field request for defined sets “steel” and “concrete” but could not find way to get the intended output. Moreover, I have tried constraining (MPC) the steel and concrete to two reference points and getting the reactions from those, that serves the purpose but there are too many warning messages which imply that this method is not optimum solution. Any help explaining the details about how to obtain the individual contribution of different components in composite columns would be much appreciated. Thanks.
