Hello colleagues,

I am working in SuperPro Designer to model a continuous bioprocess that starts with a batch phase and then switches to continuous kinetic fermentation. My objective is to configure and compare different operational modes, specifically:

  • Chemostat (fixed dilution rate)
  • Turbidostat (Optical density control)
  • Auxostat (CO2 control)

I have already set up the process flowsheet, but I am encountering difficulties in:

  • Defining the transition from the batch phase to continuous mode
  • Configuring the kinetic parameters and control strategies for each operational mode
  • Setting up the input streams and process conditions to properly simulate these modes

Has anyone implemented a similar setup in SuperPro Designer? If so, could you share recommendations or examples of how to define these dynamic fermentation strategies accurately?

Any guidance, references, or example files would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help.
