I am currently testing my sample for MIC, may you help me how to interpret the results at OD630? how would I know if there is growth or not based on the values given by the microplate reader:
@100% Concentration
0.850
0.934

@50% Concentration

and so on..

CURRENTLY ONE OF THE MOST EFFICIENT METHODS ACCORDING TO MY EXPERIENCE IS THE ALAMAR AZUL METHOD, IT DETECTS CMI AND ALSO DETERMINES THE VIABILITY OF BACTERIAL CELLS (IT IS A BACTERICIDAL EFFECT). IT IS AN EASY AND VERY EFFICIENT METHOD.
When you perform microdilution method, it is always indispensable to have a negative control (a well in the microplate with no bacterial inoculum) and a positive control (a well in with no antibiotic).
Then, you can compare the values of OD measured at 630 nm. When you reach a measurment that matches the negative control, in that well you have the minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) It is always recommended to first do a direct visual comprobation of the well that does not have growth.
