How to measure cfDNA in plasma with Sytox Green?

Hi all，

I read in the literature that when mesure plasma cfDNA with Sytox Green, plasma was diluted with PBS containing 01%BSA. Is this a necessary step? What is the purpose of adding 0.1%BSA. Thanks!
