I'm working on a flow simulation in an axial pump. in the literature, they recommend that y + should be kept below 1. however, my results have shown that y + is greater than 10.
how can I keep y + below 1?
Note 1: I am using TurboGrid for the mesh and I am using SST as the turbulence model.
Note 2: I am using TurboGrid as a mesh generation tool.
You should provide a proper first cell height value corresponding to the y+ = 1. You can use the below link to calculate the first cell height. Input your inlet velocity and characteristic length to find the first cell height.
Also, the local y+ value may be higher in some locations. So, it is better to calculate the average y+ value of the blade for better understanding.

P. Madhan Kumar I tried doing this but I could find how to modify the first cell height in TurboGrid.
All I could find is layer offset. however, the range for this parameter is very limited.
