I am working on the heat transfer performance of a double pipe heat exchanger with twisted tape . In Ansys am stuck in mesh quality.
Currently, my average skewness is 0.16 and orthogonal quality is 0.87. It looks good.
In the mesh metric, I checked that 143 elements out of 50 lakh elements have skewness more than 0.98 and 146 elements have skewness more than 0.9.
Can I ignore it and check other parameters or I should continue to improve mesh quality.
It really depends on the type of analysis you are working on. If this is for research, then it is better to improve the mesh quality and have the maximum skewness of not more than 0.97.
If you have skewness higher than 0.97, you may get a solution, but it will be of low quality and it will not converge. You can try running a simulation and comparing the results you obtain with experimental ones, however, this is not the ideal solution.

Bhrant Kumar Dandoutiya the methods of improvement could mean that you need to improve your geometry. Remove sharp edges, merge faces, remove any unnecessary object. You also might need to reduce the minimum element size. Maybe increase the defeaturing (or decrease it), depending on the location of the badly skewed elements. If your geometry includes many short edges, perhaps it would be better to increase the defeaturing value, if you have a lot of computational power, remove the defeaturing option, and reduce the minimum element size.
I would say improving mesh quality is an art more than a science.
