i have a DCB model that we just define the displacement in boundary 0.005 meter. it is the displacement that we want in real test.
in static mode the speed is not important.
now i want to have this model in dynamic mode. i mean that i want to have this displacement with the speed of 200 mm/min.
how can i have this configuration abaqus?
what do you prefer to have?dynamic,implicit or dynamic,explicit? or because the speed is not very much,you use static general?

i want to have displacement 0.005 meter with the speed of 0.0033 meter/sec.
how can i have this with together?Should i change the time period?
when i put velocity in boundary condition 0.0033 m/s,and then i am running job, nothing happened.

you can use abaqus explicit and set the velocity to 0.0033 meter/sec and analysis time to 0.005 meter/(0.0033 meter/sec.)
when i use velocity I also saw a warning in the DAT file that said
"***WARNING: THE OPTION *BOUNDARY,TYPE=DISPLACEMENT HAS BEEN USED; CHECK STATUS
FILE BETWEEN STEPS FOR WARNINGS ON ANY JUMPS PRESCRIBED ACROSS THE
STEPS IN DISPLACEMENT VALUES OF TRANSLATIONAL DOF. FOR ROTATIONAL
DOF MAKE SURE THAT THERE ARE NO SUCH JUMPS. ALL JUMPS IN
DISPLACEMENTS ACROSS STEPS ARE IGNORED"
You can define a reference point on your model and apply the initial velocity on that, Set your analysis time to 1.5 sec (5mm/200mm/min*60=1.5sec).
What is meant by "analysis time"? Is it time period in explicit dynamics?
