For indentation simulation mesh attached in the image is recommended. How can i generate this kind of mesh? I tried sectioning the solid and putting 'seed' but can't get the exact pattern.
One way, maybe not efficient but should do the trick. Is to create the lines and asign the nodes to the appropriate places. So you would create the number of nodes you need in each line. Then automatic meshing should do the job.
So in principle you can create one cylinder with many many nodes on each surface and a coarse mesh for the outer body.
