I want to exhibit antimicrobial activity of silver nanoparticles against bacteria E.coli and Staphylococcus aureus . I have prepared samples of silver- bacteria using glycerol (dispersed medium) in order to characterize them by MEB . I have found some difficulties to take images because the bacteria move every where . I would like to know if there is any technique to fix bacteria for imaging without problem.

You can add some agarose to the mix, 0.5%, and slice to get a nice even surface, alternatively, you can filter the solution

I suggest you use a solution of glutaraldehyde (2.5%). this will fix the strain before proceeding to SEM.
Chemical fixation of bacteria using absolute methanol. Immerse air dried slides into a staining jar containing absolute methanol for 20 minutes
