I am doing a 3D steady simulation of a wind rotor using Ansys Fluent. In order to have a y+ of 1, I created 10 inflation layers using total layer thickness method, and I started a first simulation. After calculation, I want to check the y+ value obtained but I don't know how can I do it ?
Somaya Younoussi : The simplest possibility is to write (export) a full CDAT file from your simulation result. In the variable list you should already see the y+ variable, but for the first attempt you can just blindly include all variables.
Then you open the CDAT file in CFD-Post. There you go to the wall surface of interest and color it by the exported y+ variable. You can either use a global color scale or a local color scale being bound by the variable min/max on that speciifc surface.

PS: For sure this is somehow possible in Fluent itself as well, but probably a lot more complicated and less straightforward to explain.
You can run a simulation to find a solution in Ansys Fluent (CFD-Post-processing).
Then, you can see in the page of this simulation under Results plots, click on xy Plot and it will appears an widow Solution XY Plot as seen on file screen shoot 1 attached. Try to fill information about Y axis function (Turbulence and wall Yplus).
Click on the surface you wanted to find the Yplus value as seen on screen shoot 2 of my file attached. In my example scree shoot I have selected outlet surface to read the Yplus value.
