Hi everyone, I simulate a three bladed wind turbine using Ansys Fluent. The variation of wind turbine torque with tip speed ratio must have a peak. But in my case, as tip speed ratio increases , torque also increases.
Sajid Ahammed Thank you for your answer. The figure bellow extracted from https://www.scirp.org/journal/paperinformation.aspx?paperid=75280, presents the variation of power coefficient with tip speed ratio and the graph shows a peak. In my case even if TSR is 8 or 9 (I am working with small HAWT) the power continues to increase.
The conclusion here is that the tip speed ratio has a significant impact on power. Power may be increased by increasing the Tip speed ratio. The influence of tip speed ratio, on the other hand, is more effective for shorter chord lengths.
