The first question I want to ask is if you really need to inject 4-hydroxytamoxifen. We usually inject tamoxifen because that is metabolized to 4-hydroxytamoxifen in vivo (if you work in vitro then you need the hydroxy form because there is no CYP enzyme to do the conversion). I have worked with tamoxifen in B6 mice, so I can send you a protocol on how to dissolve the drug. Also, we tried to inject it IP but found that there was less toxicity if we administered it by oral gavage.
