To the best of my knowledge, there are two commonly used formulas/indicators for calculating separation efficiency (S.E.) of flotation processes i.e., Gaudin’s selectivity index (1957) and Schulz's equation (1970).

Please don’t mix S.E. estimator with the selectivity index proposed by Prof. Xu in 1998 which I've seen some researchers do so!
