I attempted a phosphate (apatite) flotation, but the slurry was too thick for the impeller to work properly. I reduced the solid content to 30% for better mixing, but the conditioning still seems ineffective and nothing floats. I used Sylfat FA2 and diesel as reagents. I'd appreciate any insights you could share.

It seems that, due to the high amount of softening in the feed, do the de-sliming firstly and then do the flotation process with 10, 15, 20 and 30 solid percent.
Also, use sodium silicate or starch as a clay dispersant.
