Several methods are available. The well-accepted one is the study of chromosome aberration after solid staining (Giemsa staining). If you want to get deeper insight FISH-based chromosome painting to determine aberration will be appropriate. There are several FISH-DNA probes are available in the market depending on the requirement. Other study could be micronuclei assay.
