Hi, I have to simulate pore-throat geometry such that the model is partially saturated with the oil which is stuck to the walls of the pore. The geometry has one inlet and two outlets at an equal angle of 120 degrees with pore in the middle. All dimensions are in micrometers with dia of 35 microns and the length of each inlet and outlets are 15 microns. I am working in Fluent and want to know if it is possible to apply "Mark/adapt Cells". I am using Fluent 2019 R3 and the videos and details on the Ansys website instructions don't match the new version. I have attached a snapshot of the condition with red ovals shows oil droplets stuck to the pore walls and case file for full oil-saturated condition.
I am looking for a good option and advice on how to commence my research for these simulations
Thanks Naseem, but I haven't used it before. Can you please tell me in detail how? When I opened it in workbench it shows setup, solution and results which is pretty much the same as fluent. How can I define oil droplets near walls?
You can use VOF method with adapted half region with oil and other half as your second liquid medium. you can simply follow the inkjet tutorial of two phase flow
