Hello,

It is recommended to use MCPMod or at least Trend tests when we are looking for the Minimum Efficient Dose.

We replace the placebo by a dose=0 of the tested drug and we apply the MCPMod or Williams/Bartholomew's test (or others) on the trend of the dose-response data.

But how can we take into account the reference (other drug that is actualy working but that we need to test to be sure that the experiment was well carried out).

Should we apply another test comparing the reference and the vehicle/placebo? Or are there other methods?

Thank you in advance,
