I wanted to make a physico-chemical analysis of the sludge (physical parameters :T°, pH, Conductivity, solid matter, total organic carbon. Mineral elements : Ca, Mg, Na, K, So, N, and chemical pollutants : No3, No2, NH4, Po4, BOD, COD).
I am trying to find the method (protocol) on which I can make the physico-chemical analysis of the sewage sludge.
Are there any special methods for the physico-chemical analysis of sewage sludge?
Is it the same method for soil or wastewater analysis?
Agree with concerns of Dr. Lai with drying. I’m not sure if the Standard Methods for Water and Wastewater (23 edition) covers concentrated sludge. I believe one or more of the early old editions includEd sludge.
Methods change with time. I was trained to dry soils at 100-105 degrees C. But I learned from a soil scientist, some soil tests should be with air dried soils, and that certainly took some time. Certainly review of new published methods could have meaning to consider for some analyses, but it can also become confusing on what to follow for certain elements if varying from standards.
You can use the same protocol you use for wastewater....

For elemental composition you can use X-RF or EDS.

When we dry sample @ 105°C then all the organic matter available in soil will be lost. So it will hamper in your physicochemical property estimation namely organic carbon, BOD, COD etc. So it is recommended to dry the sample either in shade dry or in oven @ 50°C-60°C

It seems to me that you don't need to heat your sewage sludge at 105°C because the mineral elements you are going to analyze: Ca, Mg, Na, K... by atomic absorption or emission require a dilution protocol in water added with a specific chemical reagent.
These protocols can be even download in google or thesis..
