How to culture primary adipocytes?

I want to know some hormones' effect to mature primary adipocytes. However, the adipocytes I isolated with type I collagenase couldn't survive in DMEM with 10% FBS.

I followed some paper's protocol and repeated many times, but failed.

Can someone suggest how to isolate and culture primary adipocytes?

How do you know your adipocytes are not surviving? One of the problems culturing primary adipocytes is that they do not adhere to the bottom of the plate: they simply float.
