dear all
how can i create a circular surface around a node by using mesh elements. actually i have 189 nodes and i must create circular surfaces from mesh elements with a radius of 1 cm around all these nodes (each node is approximately in the center of created surface), so is there any way to define such command in Abaqus script?

Are you familiar with how to record a macro file in Abaqus?
You can change the working directory and record all the issues you mentioned in your question and open that recorded macro file. Then, you can copy and use them in your main script.

I feel circular surface can be created in your model using isoparametric element concept..as you aware that all straight edged elements can not simulate the curved surface..In abaqus software too the isoparametric concept is used to simulate the curved surface..so i recommend you to read ABAQUS manual for further understanding on your question..all the best in your research..
