I am currently trying to make multiple samples of magnetic Nickel Gadolinium ferrites with varying amounts of Gadolinium. The recrystallization (magnetic) temperature of these particles is close to 1250 degrees centigrade. But when I heat them at that temperature, they tend to merge and become larger particles.

I am already using stabilizing agents and surfactants to control the particle size.

Please suggest an optimum method to increase temperature and control particle size of my nanoparticles
