I would like to ask how to conduct the antifungal assay? What kind of solvent should I use to dissolve my extracts? I tried with acetone and methanol, both inhibit the pathogenic fungus (control). Please help! Thanks!
Stock solution in DMSO diluted in broth to a final concentration not exceeded 2-5% (v/v). Perform an innocuity control with DMSO alone at same concentration (2-5%).

Thanks. If the concentration more than 5% will cause inhibition ? I saw some journals they uses acetone. But sadly the fungus inhibited too in blank acetone.
Yes, more than 2% of DMSO added to a broth Will probably affect the growth of fungus, have a look on the Link posted, you'll have some details. Standards (clsi) recommend the use of DMSO for lipophilic antibacterials. Anyway you should always perform innocuity control with the cosolvent used at same dilution.
