How to compare the effectiveness of two scoring systems to assess a common variable ?

I am trying to understand which test correlate better for a certain variable.

I scored a set of patients undergoing surgery with RENAL and PADUA scores and now I am trying to figure out which of these two tests correlate better with the post operative results such as Ischeamic Time, Bleeding and etc.

In order to do so I ran Spearman's Rank-Order Correlation for each of them

RENAL score -- Bleeding

PADUA score -- Bleeding

etc etc for all the variables that I considered reasonable.

Both Tests proved to have very low correlation (0.224 / 0.194) but statistically significant.

However, I am not completely sure that the test I run is actually the more effective for my Purpose.

Does anybody have a suggestion ?
