How to check Fecal Occult Blood in Rats' stool without the traditional FOB Kit Test?

Hello,

I am currently working on colitis induced in rats and I would like to know how to verify the presence of hidden (occult) blood in the feces. Unfortunately, because of the Covid-19 situation I can not receive my order of the "Fecal Occult Blood Kit Test" on time.

Has anyone know any reagent or procedure to suggest on this subject ?
