Some of the researchers gave the equations for predicting the blast vibration. In order to calculate the value of PPV from those equation we need some data like Distance from blast site to vibration monitoring station , Maximum charge per delay and the Site constants.
During my investigation at the site i got Distance from blast site to vibration monitoring station and Maximum charge per delay but i didn't got the site constants . I need the value of the site constants, so please help me how i can calculate site constant values
Use the standard formula given by USBM and make a relation between PPV and Scaled distance. Use Excel or any other software. Keep PPV on Y-axis and Scaled Distance on X-axis.
Partition the data into two group. Variable 1 as PPV variable 2 being scaled distance which i believe you know is (R/W^0.5). Now make scatter plots keeping PPV in y axis and scaled distance in x axis in excel and activate the trendline. You will get the constant values.
Second method is to do regresssion for both the variables and get the slope and intercept. The intercept and the slope are the constant values.
