Hello,

I'm simulating a complex geometry where a compressive load is applied at the bottom of the geometry. Due to the geometric shape and angular placement of XFEM crack, there appears bending load. When I look at the simulation result of J integral from ABAQUS, it looks reasonable values.

But ABAQUS gives single value of J integral in stead of J integral from different modes. I have to obtain the values of KI and K II from the J integral. Is there any way to calculate the above two stress intensity factors from J integral?

I tried with built-in ABAQUS feature to get stress intensity factors. But the calculated values provided by ABAQUS by default are very very high than expected.

Any response is highly appreciated.

Thank you
