Hello,

I would like to prepare metal solutions of 50 mM Mg, Zn, Ca, and Cu (separately) from their chloride salts, to study protein-metal-ion interaction. For this reason, I would prefer that it will be in an aqueous solution with pH as neutral as possible (mildly acidic is also optional).

What is the highest pH possible without precipitation and the formation of oxidized species?

What is the preferred procedure to prepare it? can I add NaOH dropwise up o the desired pH?
