How should identify genotype of individuals for an association study? I have got sequence of each individual related to my desired gene and conducted SNP analysis for them, but I don’t know the next step how should I make a dummy-code file in order to use it as a variable for statistical analysis. Your assistance is highly appreciated.
Your question is somehow ambiguous. If you have the sequence of the gene in different subjects, you first have to define each subject as his/her genotype. For example, in terms of rs11895168, each person has one of the following genotypes: AA, AC or CC. Preparing the list of genotypes, then you can use SPSS to evaluate the association between the presence of your SNP and your outcome ( your disease of interest for example).
you must survey the segregation in this family with your genotype markers .for this you can use haplopainter software .... and another way for it that use from GALAXY database

The genotypes AA, AC and CC is possible to recognize when we know both alleles of a gene. In my case I only know one allele.
