How much and what concentration of genomic DNA (extracted from whole blood) is required for PCR if the length of the PCR product is about 300 bp? Is it appropriate to use DNA with a concentration of about 20ng/ul?
20ng/uL DNA will be enough for your PCR. You can do the PCR, and check the expected band with electrophoreses. FYI, the length of your PCR product is not so important to decide the appropriate concentration of your DNA for PCR.
as Taijun said, whatever the size of the amplicon will be, the most important thing is the quality of your samples, and in some analysis the number of copies of your target (for human DNA, 1ng of DNA is the equivalent of 150 cells, ie. 300 copies).
