I think that most of us have met the phenomenon that even we use the totally same treatment to handle the mice with same bacground in our model preparation.
So I wondering that is it meaningful to separate the mice to two subgroups regarding their performance responding to the same treatment, and find what are different between the two groups.

Hi Andrew, thank you for your answer, when I talk to my mentor, he also share the similar opinion with yours. I wonder the question just thought that the mice with same backgroud have similar condition, not only in genetic aspect but also the surrounding environment to a largest extent. Perhaps the start of thinking is wrong...
