I use Balb/c nude mouse and needle type is 26G syringe, injected the MDA-MB231 cell line into the brest (sc) at a number of 10 6 and the model will succe in more than a week!

I have studied in vitro models of glioma, colorectal and osteossarcoma. All tumors were detected macroscopically when we seeded 4X10E-6 cells. Colon in 3 days, osteossarcoma in 7 days and glioma in 2 weeks.

The little syringe allows easier implantation - number closer to needed - than the bigger, due to the air in needle. Attention!

I don't know the size of your cell! In general, 26G and 27G are the most used to xenograft.

I had used insulin syringe to implant the tumor cells, Although it is well to implant, the pinhole is too small that it may cause cell damage, so it will influence the mission success rate!

An insulin syrunge is good to our use. Take care about the air in needle, only this. Mantain only cells in needle by an unique and stronge movimment to cranial-caudal direction; the air goes to the top of syringe. After that, inject the cells.
