The plant tissue samples were fixed with 90% acetone, washed with water, and stored at 4°C for two weeks. Should we expect diffusion or delocalization? Would the enzyme activity be reduced? Would these samples be intact and give unaltered GUS assay results? Has anyone done this way, and how had it worked, please share your observations. Thank you :)

However, to see what happens, I proceeded to stain the samples with GUS (which were fixed with 90% acetone, washed with water, and stored in water at 4°C for 2 weeks.)
I observed that the GUS staining appeared quite decent. I attach the pictures for reference, showing fixed and immediately stained leaf sample vs. fixed, stored, and stained leaf sample.
