Hello, Agarose gel has a storage life of about 3 - 4 weeks it should be stored in dark at a temperature of around 4"C. It is very light sensitive and should not be kept under light for more than 3 hours. it can be kept as long as the block is well hydrated.

Karen A. Darbinyan Thank you very much for your response Karen. When you say kept well hydrated, do you mean the agarose blocks should be kept in PBS or wrapped up so they don't dry out?

Yes, also possible but better to use polyethylene pack filed with a little volume 2-5ml PBS to provide humidity within package.
