How does one define the beam section properties for a line body in workbench WITHOUT using Design Modeler?

I have a mixed geometry of line and solid bodies. I want to define beam section properties for the line bodies WITHOUT using Design Modeler?

This type of analysis is only possible with the use of DM. the geometry can be constructed else where, however DM maps the line bodies with the correct CSA for the solver.
