I happened to use HPLC in a project and the chromatograms are out. As a biologist, I don't really have the technical understanding to fully interpretate the results. I would like to know what to point out in the chromatogram when describing it in a results section. Links to papers where HPLC was used and results described will also be very helpful. Thank you.

Please perform a basic web search using any common search engine (e.g. Google, Bing...) using the keywords, "HPLC", "method", and the keywords which pertain to YOUR sample type. Refer to examples from professional journals using the Materials and Methods section for examples of reporting information (the method) and the Discussion area for chromatogram peak summary interpretation and comments.
Perhaps most importantly of all, please contact someone local who is experienced in HPLC method development to have them review your method and provide comments on the results obtained. Put in the time to have this done as it may save you from presenting invalid methods or data in your proposed paper.
I think it is very easy to find your answer from google search engine. Please write your desired area...for example: analysis of pesticide residue/ mycotoxins / Antibiotics in vegetables by HPLC and many articles comes out how to write and discuss the results.

You can describe the retention time (RT) obtained, area of peak, the shape of the peak, theoretical plates obtained and comparing it with standards chromatogram or with other methods depending on the type of analysis you are doing. A more specific question would have a better answer.
