Dear researchers,
I have two sets of curves as the results of an experiment which was performed on human subjects before and after a treatment. In order to investigate the effect of treatment, I want to run statistics on the sets of curves (10 pre-treatment curves and 10 post-treatment curves on each subjects). Is there a statistical analysis for an individual subject to see whether the treatment has been effective on that particular subject? and, is there a statistical analysis to answer that question for a population of subjects? If helps, the curves are EMG data of muscle reflex responses to neural stimulation plotted versus time.

Test of significance of difference between two groups (sets) of curves can be tested for obtaining findings on the objective of the study. Paired t test can also be applied since there are 10 pairs of observed data.
Include an interaction term in the statistical model. If the interaction term is significant, then the curves differ.
If I have yield = nitrogen fertilizer and I want to know if this relationship is different in California versus South Africa, I could include a variable "location" in the model yield = location + nitrogen + location * nitrogen.
