Pd iletken ve iletken katsayısı sabittir. Bu yüzden iletkenlik belirli bir noktadan sonra sabit kalır. Pd-Cu ise, Pd kendisinden daha iletken malzeme ile kaplama yapıldığı için iletkenliği artar. Buna bağlı olarak çıkış gücü artar. Ancak belli bir süre sonra Pd ve Cu arasında Polarizasyon oluşur ve çıkış gücü Pd'ye yakın olur. Çünkü Pd daha kararlıdır.
