I encourage students to be high level in their studies, I was read every day more than 10 hr, so obtained full or high scores, this what I hope to my students, what is your opinion.
From experience, top students don't read for long hours. They study when they can understand, they don't read to impress and they don't copy others to read. Most of them don't miss class and they are good listeners. They balance their days with enough food, rest and relaxed reading pattern.
Top students are in two categories- Those that are really studying very hard to attain such height and those that are genetically geniuses.
Those that are really studying very hard may have to burn midnight oil, do personal study but the geniuses may read for few hours and grab most of the concepts in such courses and the results really show the difference.

Thanks dear Ataul Karim Patwary for your good view about that, it's important for good students to read not only for passing the exam but continually and to perform more progress.
Very well @Segun Michael Abegunde. Being a good listener is pretty cool. The guy who can get out of class having learned everything he has heard, need not waste time to study this subject again.
Students are different in their comprehension and intelligence ... but it is possible to use explanatory means, experiences and review during the lecture I think will consolidate students' minds ...
I think is to focus mainly on important topics for under graduate to maste the concept of mangement rather than keeping every thing on thier hearts. Almost apply what ever they read to thier reality and by this they will ne forget it.
Study is a form of work. It requires planning so that its goals can be achieved. The closest study goals can be: articles, theses, dissertations or reading texts. The long-term goal to be achieved with the study is personal and social enrichment, to be gained from knowledge.
Top students aren’t always the few who study throughout their ‘‘waking hours”.
I discovered goal of my life only after observing lives of two of my Topper friends Rajesh and Ritesh. Though we all joined a coaching institute with a common aim of getting into IITs, we all landed differently at the end of 10+2. Rajesh and Ritesh cleared AIEEE scoring below 500 ranks. Both of them secured a seat in NIT Rourkela, one chose ME while other CE. One got hired by TATA motors while other became a Licenced contractor of his town.
Now coming to the point how did they study.
They didn’t study as hard as me.
They didn’t study as long as me till midnight.
They didn’t study waking early mornings.
They didn’t read as many books I used to read.
But wait….they were “the achievers”.
I observe the lives of few other toppers. They are of different breed is what I found out.
So What did they do if they didn’t spend so much time in study?
They were very attentive in class. Listening in class would help them grasp 60% of the subject.
They implemented the lessons in actually solving problems. This would make 70% of the subject.
They spent time in helping their mates understand the subject and solving the problems. As the saying goes Teaching is thrice learning, it helped them get 80% grip on the subject.
They spent some time after college hours in recreational activities. They had their own hobbies, playing chess, drawing, listening music and also playing pranks.
They always went to bed on time, no late night studies.
Always woke up just an hour before going to classes to brush “lessons learnt the previous day”.
Finally they were very honest when it came to weekend tests. They did everything on their own unlike the whole class who secured marks copying from others. The marks secured made them understand where they are lagging and where they are strong. It boosted confidence in them which is very important.
But it’s not as simple as recipe for cooking a dish. Even if you follow the exact steps of a recipe, you may not make it as delicious as expected. Similarly the top result is not that simple. Many factors comes into play from the IQ you have inherited to the neuro connections of your brain which in turn depends on history of your extra curriculum activities: sports, debates, essay writing, acting, dance, indoor games and other hobbies. Research has found that more number of activities a child is involved in, more he/ she is intelligent. This will greatly affect the performance in high school and further studies.
So keeping in mind all these factors one should understand his or her capacity and try to develop from core rather than struggling with academics.
