I would like to prepare a carbonate buffer of PH 8 to electrodeposit pyrrole in the Au electrode. previously used (212 g Na2co3+168 g of NaHco3 in 10 mL water) +pyrrole solution. could not find a deposit because ph is too high(basic) around 11 .How to prepare a carbonate buffer of Ph =8?
Well. Actually, the concentration of the sodium carbonate has to be relatively high in relatin to the proper base order to maintain the pH relatively close to neutral. The proper Na2CO3 acts as a base.

1. These quantities ("212 g Na2co3+168 g of NaHco3 in 10 mL water") are too large, outside the solubility limits. Verify.
2. pKa2 for H2CO3 is 9.8 , thus you can prepare a CO32-/HCO32- buffer only for pH = 8.8 ....10.8 (pH range = pKa +/- 1)
