I am currently using the explant method to grow out primary cells from an ectocervical explant. The tissue was transported in media after surgery and immediately processed by cutting the tissue into small pieces and placing the pieces in Tissue culture dishes with just enough media. After 3days I noticed that there were cells migrating from the tissue into the dish, however the cells were not adhering to the tissue culture plate. After 5days there were more cells but still very few are attaching. I am using KSFM media to grow the explant. Is there a reason why the cells are not adhering? Are the cells stressed?
